Student leadership and mentoring

Positive leadership, mentorship and role modelling can shape educational journeys, and as such we encourage every student to embrace and embody these roles throughout their time at Trinity.  

In the Junior School, students are involved in a Buddy program and are also supported by Senior School students through various cross-age mentoring activities.  

More formal student leadership opportunities, such as captaincy roles, are available to students at the Year 6 and Year 12 levels.   

“There are so many teachers who have believed in me and encouraged me to aspire for more – whether that be academically, through the cocurricular opportunities or most importantly, in being a good man,”  2024 School Captain, Charles (Year 12) said upon his appointment.  

“I am super proud to be able to give something back to the school that has done so much for me since arriving at Trinity in the Early Learning Centre (ELC)”.  

Charles was appointed his 2024 leadership position alongside Vice-Captains Ren-Hao, Edward, Nick and Andrew.   

The cohort detailed the importance of community and connection across the year levels, and each speak to their hope to be leaders who are approachable, listen and lead by example.   

Nick says that the prospect of being a representative for the students at Trinity “is profoundly meaningful” to him, and Edward expresses feeling incredibly “grateful” for the opportunity.   

Within their portfolios, they work together to promote and celebrate student voice, community activities and service opportunities, as well as key events across the school calendar.
