Primary Years Programme

At Trinity, we teach using the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme approach from ELC – Year 6.

Subjects are taught concurrently whilst fulfilling the requirements of the Victorian Curriculum, giving students agency in their learning and encouraging them to connect with the world around them in their discovery.

When students have agency over their learning, they:

  • Become problem-solvers
  • Learn to think outside the box
  • Cultivate their interests
  • Have scope to be more creative
  • Develop a growth mindset
  • Learn project management skills
  • Are encouraged to experiment
  • View mistakes as learning opportunities

The International Baccalaureate is an internationally-recognised continuum of educational programmes that are designed to develop resilient, self-motivated young people who have the knowledge, skills, and sense of purpose they need to thrive.
