Sport at Trinity encourages the development of teamwork, leadership, resilience, commitment, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Supported by the Physical Education program, students try out a wide range of sports to find the best fit for the individual. There is an expectation that all students represent Trinity for a summer and winter sport.
Trinity Grammar School competes in the Association of Grammar Schools of Victoria (AGSV) competition. At the junior level, students from Years 3-6 represent Trinity in swimming, athletics and cross country in various round robin competitions against other AGSV schools.

Facilities
Students enjoy an onsite sports complex with three full-sized sports courts, arena seating, a professionally equipped gym, rock-climbing wall, outdoor courts and a 25-metre swimming pool, supported by a 63-acre location in Bulleen with dedicated football, tennis, soccer, rugby, hockey and cricket facilities.
Physical Education
The Physical Education program, which offers practical classes through to Year 11, focuses on the development of fundamental motor skills in the early years and specialised skills in the later years.
Students try out and delve into the rules, technical skills and training behind a range of sports that they may then choose to pursue in the cocurricular sport program.
The program is underscored by the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, empowering young people to lead physically and mentally fulfilling lives.
Swimming
In Term 1 and Term 4 each year, Trinity students from Prep – Year 8 are taught technical and survival skills in the pool by specialist swimming coaches.
