Partnership with Ruyton

In Years 11 and 12, some VCE subjects are offered in a coeducational environment in partnership with Ruyton Girls’ School, which is just 650m or a five-minute walk away.  

VCE subjects are shared between the two schools, giving students greater access and agency in their final years of school. Trinity students can take VCE classes at Ruyton, and vice versa.  

Moving between campuses, students enjoy access to the facilities and resources of both schools, diversifying and extending their educational experience. 

This contemporary approach is a result of a strong, collaborative and intentional 30-year relationship between schools which fosters a learning environment that is open, respectful and inclusive. Trinity and Ruyton students come to the combined classroom as their best selves, ready to collaborate and learn with the skills and maturity that they have developed through their single-sex education so far. 

Cocurricular-wise, senior theatre productions are shared between the schools. Students can audition for a Trinity/Ruyton production as a performer or “behind the scenes” as a crew member. Recent major performances include Mamma Mia and Chicago.  

Opportunities for engagement also exist earlier on, including through the Trinity/Ruyton Buddy Program in the Junior School.
