- A balanced education
At Trinity Grammar School, we want our students to write their own story.
We aim to build within them the confidence to make choices, change paths and navigate obstacles during their own educational adventure.
Our approach at Trinity provides the opportunities and challenges, as well as the structure and support, to give our young people a balanced education:
- Standard and specialist subjects taught by teachers who are passionate, highly skilled, and care deeply for their students
- Extension opportunities available for those who want to delve a bit deeper, and learning support is provided for those who need it
- As a proud learning community, more senior students will often volunteer their time to teach, guide and mentor those in the younger year levels
- A robust cocurricular program that provides depth, interest and variety in alignment with everyday learning
- A defined single-sex learning environment catered for boys from Prep-Year 10, with the opportunity to experience coeducation in VCE in partnership with Ruyton Girls’ School
We know that every student is different, and every educational journey is unique.
On the path from early childhood learning to high school graduation, we strive to see our students and graduates become the best version of themselves, whatever that may be.
About personalised learning at Trinity
Our learning philosophy is centred on the idea that education is not one-size-fits-all. As more than consumers of their education, we see our students as co-creators and advocates of their futures.
We are committed to fostering an environment that inspires our young people to become critical thinkers, problem solvers and lifelong learners.
By tailoring our learning and wellbeing programs to the individual, and celebrating student voice and agency, we hope to shape a positive educational journey for every young person in our care.
The key features of our personalised learning approach are:
- Knowing our students well
- Encouraging student engagement
- Celebrating student agency
- Facilitating a positive learning culture
- Using data to inform teaching and learning
- Collaboration between students, staff and parents
