Trinity Grammar School scholarships provide access and opportunity to young people who demonstrate extraordinary skills and ability.
The Trinity Grammar School Academic Scholarship is offered to students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability.
Applications are open to new and current students entering Trinity in Year 5, 7 or 9, who are Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.
Places are awarded on the basis of examination results and an interview. Examinations are held in Term 1 of the preceding year.
An Academic Scholarship is subject to a periodic performance review which addresses the criteria applicable to all scholarships at Trinity whilst placing particular emphasis on the standards in the School’s Academic Progress Policy.

The Trinity Grammar School Music Scholarship is offered to students who demonstrate outstanding musical ability.
Applications are open to new and current students entering Trinity in Year 7, 8 or 9, who are Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.
Places are awarded on the basis of an audition and interview. Students are required to play two contrasting pieces and to arrange their own accompanist. Candidates who are invited to audition will also be required to sit the independent academic test at Trinity Grammar School, Kew.
The Music Scholarship is subject to a periodic performance review which addresses the criteria applicable to all scholarships at Trinity.
Applications are now open for 2026.
Means-tested Scholarships are offered on the basis of a student profile and interview, to new students entering Years 9-12 who are not already enrolled at Trinity Grammar School, Kew.
The Scholarship will be means-tested by submission of evidence of the need for financial assistance.
The successful recipient will be of fine character and must be able to display a positive attitude to learning and be achieving at a satisfactory academic level; be able and willing to embrace the spirit and culture of the school and demonstrate that he would benefit from the opportunities that a Trinity Grammar School, Kew education would provide.
Scholarships are open to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.

The Trinity Grammar School Scholarship for First Nations students is offered to courageous young people who are inspired to participate in and connect with the Trinity experience.
These scholarships are open to First Nations students entering Years 7-12 who live in the Melbourne Metropolitan region.
The Trinity Grammar School Cocurricular Scholarship is offered to students who demonstrate talent in cocurricular areas, as well as the qualities of leadership, a willingness to become involved in all facets of school life and academic potential.
Applications are open to current and new students entering Trinity in Years 7-11, who are Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.
Places are awarded on the basis of a student profile and interview, held during early August the preceding year.
The Cocurricular Scholarship is subject to a periodic performance review which addresses the criteria applicable to all scholarships at Trinity.

Trinity is the official Choir School for St Paul’s Cathedral.
A high level of commitment is expected, but timetables are arranged so that the choir does not interfere with school work or sport. The musical training is a gateway to excellence and provides a firm foundation for academic success.
Previous musical training is not essential.
Entrance for the Choir is by audition at the Cathedral.
A Scholarship for St Paul’s Choir is subject to a periodic performance review which addresses the criteria applicable to all scholarships at Trinity whilst laying particular emphasis on the standards of St Paul’s Cathedral Choir.

The choir accepts expressions of interest from students from Year 4 and up at any time (for choir starting February each year). Students are encouraged to perform a basic audition to test singing ability and join the choir as probationers for one term before being accepted as full choristers. They then become eligible for a 10% scholarship. Exceptional senior students are sometimes offered a 15-20% scholarship during their final years of school. Choristers must also be in at least one of the school choirs to receive the scholarship.
The commitment for the students is mostly limited to Sunday mornings 9.00am-12.00pm, with extra commitments over Easter and Christmas, otherwise following school terms. The choir is a mixed choir of adults and children, male and female.
